41 runners listed as Eagle AC members ran the annual John Treacy 10 Miler yesterday in Dungarvan. Co. Waterford. Despite quite windy conditions in parts there were numerous very impressive performances as well as plenty of pbs!

First word must of course go to Aoife Cooke who won the women’s race in a brilliant time of 54.23. This time beat the previous course record by nearly 2 minutes! An amazing run from Aoife and a very well deserved one after her last few weeks of training in Kenya.

Aoife’s training partners Mark Smith and Damian Kenneally also had brilliant runs. Mark finished 15th overall and 2nd M40 in 53.21 with Damian finishing just behind with a new PB of 53.59. There were category prizes also for Martin Leahy who was 2nd M55 and Richard Piotrowski who was 1st M70.
