Evening Everyone

A quieter week this week in the run up to all of the Christmas races. Hopefully people are making the most of the down time! As a result we won’t keep you too long for the newsletter.

Well done to those running in the Great Glenville 4 mile and thanks to Mairead for the results below.

Wishing all who are heading to Waterford this Saturday the very best of luck, have a great race and a safe journey down. Hopefully the roads won’t be so icy by the weekend!

Thank you to all who supported and contributed to the Joseph Murphy fundraiser in Doneraile last Saturday; great to see Eagle AC members out to support fellow club member Joe Murphy.

AGM Reminder
“We will be holding our AGM at 8.00 pm, in the Imperial Hotel, on Wednesday 17th January 2018. The Club constitution stipulates that two weeks’ notice must be given for the AGM, together with any motions to be discussed. Please send any motions/resolutions/nomination s to club secretary Pat Twomey, at ptwomey152@gmail.com on or before Sunday 10th December 2017 These will then be circulated along with the official AGM notice.”
Best Wishes,
Pat Twomey (Secretary)

Tempo Run Reminder
It is advised that members participating in the Thursday Tempo runs wear hi viz clothing, along with either a head-torch or some form of lighted arm bands. The evenings are dark and it is difficult for people to see runners coming against them at speed! John Desmond mentioned that there are head torches on sale upstairs in Tesco Douglas if anybody is on the hunt for one (Cost €7/€8). Could members also please keep to the left hand side of the path when completing tempo sessions.

Thanks as always to all who have contributed to the email this week, including those of you who send on results from your away races.
