Another busy weekend with Eagle AC members taking part in races at home and abroad.

Ballincollig Park 5km…Eagle had podium finishes in both male and female categories last Sunday 13th of Apil in the Ballincollig Park 5km. Alan O’ Brien was second man home in a time of 16:53 while Annmarie Power was third lady in a time of 19:26.

Great Island 10 mile in Cobh…Conditions were perfect for the Cobh ten miler last Sunday, even if the hills hadn’t flattened out since last year! Many Eagles took part in what is a huge fundraiser for the Irish Cancer Society. It looks as if 7 was our lucky number- well done to Eric Browne who was 7th man home in a time of 1:00:11, while Sandra Manning was 7th lady home in a time of 1:13:25. As clubs are not listed in results, there may be some names missing here:

London Marathon…Well done to Alan Foley and Derek Costello who both completed the London Marathon last weekend. Conditions were warm, making it tough going for both in the second half of the race. Alan finished in a time of 3:41:48 While Derek completed the course in 4:31:59

Rotterdam Marathon…Roger O Mahony put in an excellent performance in the Rotterdam Marathon to complete the course in 3:19:29
