Inniscarra 4 Miler, Friday 14th June 2019

The second race of the 2019 Eagle AC Summer Series took place last Friday evening, 14th June. The Inniscarra 4 Miler was the chosen race and there was a great Eagle AC turnout at the event.

33 members in total took part in the race. The club claimed 2 podium spots with Mark Smith finishing in 2nd position overall in a time of 21.17 and Karen Bevan being 3rd lady to cross the line in a time of 27.25.

A large number of members claimed category prizes on the night too – Fergus Nugent ( 4th overall) , Donal Dowling (2nd M40) , Pat O’Connor ( 1st M50) , Tom Fox (2nd M50), Richard Piotrowski (1st M60) , Michelle Traynor (4th F overall) , Elaine Guinane ( 1st F40), Siobhan Holland ( 2nd F40) and Marie-Therese Brady (2nd F45)

Well done to all members who took part on the night. A challenging course for sure! Attention now turns to the Coachford 5 Miler, the 3rd race in the series, which takes place on July 11th. It would be great to see another large club turnout at this race.
