Despite the threatening rain, a total of 20 club members turned out for the 10 mile Coffee Run on Saturday the 27th of May. Starting in Turners Cross, the run covered the last 8 miles of the Cork City Marathon / Half-Marathon route and it was an ideal way to see what the course changes would be like.

Old route in pink dots
The general consensus was…
a) More twists and turns than the old route
b) The section around Tory Top Park in Ballyphehane (Mile 1 on the map) wasn’t too bad although it is an extra hill.
c) The section on Farranlea Park (Mile 3 on the map) is pretty hilly and is certainly harder than the old route.
