Trail & Hill News by Gerard Down
Loop de Loop half, full and ultra marathons
A small group of runners, including myself, did one one loop ( 13 miles) of the Loop de Loop course on saturday night. Whilst the start and finish point of the races are now in the village of Lisvernane, rather than located in the grounds of the Aherlow House Hotel, the course is essentially the same as in previous years. Conditions around the course are good with the ground firm and significantly drier than last year.

Registration is via the IMRA site http://www.imra.ie/ and final day for registration is September.  10th.

Eagle News:
Kerry Way Ultra Challenge: The very best of Luck to Neil Mackay and Charlie Byrd, who will tackle the gruelling Kerry Way Ultra Challenge on Sept. 2nd. The lads are doing this as a fundraising effort to purchase a new hoist for St. Luke’s Home, Mahon. If anyone would like to sponsor Neil and Charlie, the link is www.gofundme.com/hoistforstlukes

Coffee Run: With so many people away and racing over the Summer, we have not had a coffee run for a while. Our next one is coming up on Saturday Sept. 24th, so put it in the diaries now and do your best to attend!
