The annual Cheetah Run in Fota Wildlife Park is coming up on Thursday the 19th of May 2016. The park has changed somewhat in the last year with the opening of the new Asian Sanctuary. As a result, the course has been changed from 4 miles to 5kms. This will allow participants to run through nearly every part of the park without the problems of slower runners getting lapped.
There is a limit of 900 entries for the 5k race and the age limit is 16 and above.
Entries will open on Thursday the 28th of April.

This was also a new PB for Eddie Trindle who is one of the newer members in the club. This was a 7 minute improvement on his 3:56:10 in the Dublin Marathon last October. Great to see all that training paying off!
Connemara Half Marathon: Well done to Mike McGrath who finished 2nd M50 in the Connemara Half Marathon last weekend. Mike ran a time of 1.38.19 in what sounds like very tough conditions. Mike’s opinion: ‘It is a great event , fab scenery but unfortunately we were battered by high Winds and rain throughout !’
