Charlie Byrd takes on 200km Kerry Way Ultra

The Kerry Way Ultra is conducted along The Kerry Way trail starting and finishing in Killarney, Co. Kerry. The route is approx. 200kms or 120 miles in length and takes in Glenbeigh, Waterville, Sneem and Kenmare.

The event started at 6am on Friday, Sept 4th at the Killarney Tourist Office. This is one of the toughest races in the country with a mixture of mountain passes, green trails, boggy ground, wire-covered sleepers and country roads.

Club member Charlie Byrd completed the course in 39 hours 33 minutes! Maith an Fear Charlie!
